The goal of the Outdoor Education Grant is to broaden knowledge about natural resources and teach
each other how to effectively practice conservation from virtually anywhere.
This grant is available for environmental education projects performed within White County. Schools,
teachers, and other educational organizations may apply for funds up to $1000 for any materials
related to an applicable education project.
All projects should be focused on the preservation and good stewardship of our natural resources.
Examples of past projects include butterfly lifecycle labs, elementary education gardens, and drones
monitoring carbon emissions in the atmosphere.
Starting 2024, SWCD will be accepting applications for the Outdoor Education Grant on a continuing
basis. For more information, please call the office or email us at katelyn.walker@whitecounty.in.gov.
